Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has announced 25 new partners in the first round of partnership promotions.
In a bumper year for the firm’s City office, 10 associates were made up in London compared with just five in 2007. Overall, the number of new partners was slightly up on last year when 22 were promoted.
Joint senior partner Guy Morton said: “The depth and range of outstanding qualities displayed by these new partners demonstrates once again the exceptional pool of talent within the firm.” Insurance outfit Ince & Co was the second firm to announce promotions, creating three new partners in practices related to shipping.
Two of the associates, Jonathan Goldfarb and Carol Searle, were made up in the firm’s London office, while Markus was promoted in Hamburg.
