Watson Farley grows London and New York

Watson Farley & Williams has hired an Allen & Overy (A&O) lawyer and two others to bolster its London and New York offices.
Tax specialist Patricia Landoli, formerly an A&O senior assistant, has joined the New York office as a partner. Head of Watson Farley’s international tax group Chris Preston said the move is a step towards building up the firm’s international structured finance group.
Ron Stuber, a specialist in international finance, will join the firm as a partner in London next month from Milbank Tweed Hadley & McCloy. Stuber has particular expertise in Italian energy projects. His move follows Watson Farley’s expansion last year of its projects and energy team with the hiring of Ian McNeill, a former in-house lawyer at Entergy, Evan Stergoulis from Hammonds, as well as a four-lawyer team, which founded the Italian office of Watson Farley.
Bryan Curel, a former director of Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and head of its technology finance group, has also joined Watson Farley as a senior assistant. He specialises in asset finance and leasing.
