Morgan Lewis & Bockius has hired Enron Task Force prosecutor John Hemann as a partner in its San Francisco office.
While Hemann was an assistant US attorney he prosecuted Enron’s former chief financial officer Andrew Fastow.
Hemann will team up again with Leslie Caldwell, former head of the Enron Task Force and former director of the criminal division in the US attorney’s office in San Francisco. She joined the Morgan Lewis in Autumn 2004.
Hemann will focus on developing the firm’s white-collar crime practice on the West Coast. Morgan Lewis moved into the Bay Area two years ago with a number of lawyers from now defunct firm Brobeck Phleger & Harrison. It now has 160 lawyers here.
