Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft has landed work advising consumer giant Procter & Gamble (P&G) on its $57bn acquisition of Gillette.
The US firm was the company’s main adviser on the deal, agreed yesterday (27 January). It is understood that Cadwalader has not previously been instructed by P&G.
Davis Polk & Wardwell advised Gillette on the acquisition, which is the largest in P&G’s history. Under the terms of the deal, expected to finalise this autumn, P&G takes 100 per cent control of Gillette.
