DAC loses banking team to Osborne Clarke

Department chief Chris Sykes joins as a partner and will head up the banking group at his new firm.

He is accompanied by partner John Hayward and two assistants.- Akmal Ghauri and Celena Ong – who also join the banking department.

The departures leave DAC with just two banking partners – John Nelmes and Paul Webster.

DAC, however, has strengthened its insurance group in Manchester by bringing in two partners – Stephen Gorman and Peter Unsworth – from Bolton-based insurance firm Keogh Ritson.

These latest Osborne Clarke hirings complete the firm's drive to build up its banking departments across the network.

Other recent recruits include partner Jeremy Cross from HSBC who heads up the Bristol office and Morgan Cole banking partner Hugh Jones who heads up the Reading practice
