The lay-offs are understood to include two media lawyers and a handful of property lawyers.
Head of the firm’s property department Jonathan Lewis confirmed that redundancies were taking place, but that the firm is currently in consultation with the lawyers in question. He declined to comment
further. The firm also made a round of redundancies in the early part of 2002.
