DAC senior partner steps down

Davies Arnold Cooper’s (DAC) long-standing senior partner David McIntosh is stepping down at the end of the month, following 28 years in the role.

The firm’s current executive partner Danny Gowan is to succeed McIntosh in the role.

McIntosh will continue to work with DAC in a consultant role, assisting with strategy and also carrying out some fee-earning work advising law firms and solicitors with partnership and professional indemnity issues.

During his tenure, McIntosh has held high-profile positions outside the firm. He is currently chair of the City of London Law Society and was Law Society President in 2001-2002.

McIntosh joined DAC in 1963 as one of just 17 people. The firm now has over 300 lawyers and members of staff, and turned over £31.5m in 2005.
