Farrar's loses leading silk to Fountain Court

Magic circle set Fountain Court has taken commercial silk Stephen Rubin QC from John Leighton Williams QC's chambers Farrar's Building.

Farrar's Buildings has been trying to edge away from common law by encouraging its stars to develop a stronger commercial practice. This will undoubtedly leave a dent in the new strategy.

Senior clerk at Farrar's Building Alan Kilbey says: “Stephen Rubin QC is a first-class barrister whose practice has gone from strength to strength. His departure is obviously a loss, but will not affect our core practice areas.”

Head of chambers at Fountain Court Anthony Boswood says: “[Rubins] will enhance our reputation… and we are delighted that he is joining us.”
