Dundas & Wilson managing partner Chris Campbell has quit the Scottish firm to join the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS).

Campbell, who has led Dundas & Wilson since 1996, will be joining RBS as director of group legal services on 1 August. He will be replacing Mark Chidley, who left the bank in February (first reported in The Lawyer, 14 February).

Commenting on his move Campbell sad: “It was an opportunity to join one of the UK’s great companies and one that I couldn’t turn down.”

In his new role Campbell will report to RBS general counsel Miller McLean.

As first reported in the Lawyer on Monday (23 May) Chidley is joining DLA Piper as a partner.
