Primelight Advertising is suing Asda Stores in a dispute over outdoor advertising. The writ says Asda agreed to allow Primelight to put up advertising structures at 38 stores. Primelight put up structures at 21 sites and claims in its writ that it has the right to erect similar structures at the remaining 17 sites. However, it claims that, on 14 November, Asda's solicitors wrote refusing access to Asda superstores for erection of the advertising structures on the other 17 sites. The writ claims that, despite numerous requests, Asda has failed and refused to perform its obligations under the licence agreements. Primelight claims that as a result of what has happened it has suffered losses which include loss of agency commission of £438,866, less costs of £224,802. It seeks specific performance of the licence agreement or damages.
