The Association of Personal Injury Lawyers has told the Government that its Freedom of Information Act does not go far enough because it excludes information relating to investigation, prosecution or prevention of crime or the bringing of civil proceedings by a public body. It says this means victims of crime or accidents caused by negligence could be prevented from pursuing compensation claims.
