Birmingham and London firm Martineau Johnson has advised its own PR company on its admission to AIM. Freshwater UK was admitted to the junior market earlier this month and raised £4m, which will be used to grow the business organically and through acquisition. Despite employing the PR company for its press-related work, Martineau won the IPO instruction following a tender. The firm has previously advised Freshwater in connection with a number of acquisitions. Martineau’s team was headed by corporate partners Adam McGiveron and Kavita Patel, who worked with Freshwater and its broker Charles Stanley. Freshwater employs 87 people and is headquartered in Cardiff.
