Midlands firm Freethcartwright is stepping up its commitment to clinical negligence with the hire of a specialist from Nelsons as partner-in-charge of its Derby-based clinical negligence practice.
Karen Reynolds, formerly a partner at Nelsons’ Derby office, is the only solicitor in Derbyshire who handles clinical negligence at a legal aid franchised firm. She replaces Mike Bird, the head of Freethcartwright’s clinical negligence team, who recently returned to the firm’s Nottingham office.
Commenting on her move to Freethcartwright, Reynolds said: “The firm already has a nationwide reputation for clinical negligence, representing claimants on a number of high-profile cases, and I’m looking forward to adding my expertise to the team’s experience.”
