Former Taylor Wessing IT partner Nicola Andrews, who left the firm earlier this year, will join the services division of Hewlett-Packard (HP) as a senior member of the legal team in October. Andrews’ exact job title is yet to be finalised, but it is expected to be a strategic role to support the IT provider’s growing UK services needs.
HP UK general counsel Gareth John told The Lawyer: “I cannot emphasise too much how happy we are to have recruited Nicky. Strategically we want to build our internal legal support for outsourcing, systems and integration work and support services. Nicky’s experience makes her ideal for this role.”
Andrews’ arrival will boost the in-house team at HP Services to seven attorneys. The company also has 13 trademark and patent attorneys in its IP practice in Bristol, headed by Denise Kilgannon.
