Hammonds managing partner Peter Crossley has declared that he will run for a second term in office.
Crossley told The Lawyer that he has made a formal announcement to the partnership proclaiming that he wishes to continue in his post after April 2008, when his current four-year term ends.
“There’s still a lot to be done, and I have a clear vision of how to take Hammonds forward,” said Crossley. “We’ve transformed this firm in the past two years. Former partners may say other things, but that’s now all history, and where the firm is now means we’re moving forward.”
Crossley said that one focus in the past 18 months has been to make Hammonds ‘one firm’, with its international offering providing the same service as that of the UK office; and this will continue to be key to the firm’s strategy in the future.
“Our approach has seen 25 to 30 per cent of our turnover, which stands at £127m, now coming from our international offices, which wasn’t the case a few years ago” explained Crossley.
Crossley, however, would not divulge his new vision for the firm. “That’s under wraps and, for now, is just for my manifesto,” he said.
