Eversheds‘ real estate funds group has represented the Henderson UK Shopping Centre Fund on its £253m acquisition of Canterbury’s White Shopping Centre from Land Securities.

Eversheds secured the appointment after it advised Henderson on the establishment of the fund.

The fund was set up as an offshore vehicle within three weeks of being given the go-ahead in 2004.

The Canterbury property was purchased by the fund in a joint venture with CPP Investment Bond Real Estate Holdings.

The holding company was represented by Norton Rose partner Dan Wagerfield.

Eversheds real estate partner Tim Webb led the team acting on the deal. Nabarro represented Land Securities.
