DLA, BLP predict £500K PEP

Mid-market stars DLA and Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) are predicting average profit per partner (PEP) over £500,000 as both post double-digit turn-over growth in the first half of the year.

DLA has recorded the best first half-year in its history, with revenues shooting up 23.5 per cent to £145.7m. DLA sources are predicting to break the half-million profits barrier for the first time and are expecting a 13 per cent rise in average PEP, from £475,000 to £540,000.

BLP sources also predict average PEP over £500,000 for the first time if the current increase is sustained. The firm recorded a turnover hike for the first six months of 15 per cent to £58m. End-of-year profits are projected to rise by over 20 per cent to break £500,000.

SJ Berwin also had a strong first half, with turnover up 5 per cent to £51m and average profits projected to be up by at least 10 per cent to £560,000.
