Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe has come over all socially responsible and has launched an avian flu legal and communications management support service to help ease the minds of concerned clients.
The service, run in conjunction with communications consultancy Publicis Consultants, claims to “assist North American, European and Asian companies in strengthening their ability to respond in a responsible manner to the challenges posed by the spread of avian flu”.
Not ones to increase panic about the possibility of a potentially deadly avian flu pandemic, the service’s website goes on to promote legal and public relations contingency plans to avoid problems “in the aftermath of such a calamity”.
But rest assured, while doctors may struggle to distribute the necessary medication to the masses, Orrick’s clients will be prepared for any “legal exposure in the face of avian
flu”. Presuming they’re still alive, that is.
