Leading insolvency partner Paul Gordon-Saker is leaving Dibb Lupton Alsop to join rival City firm Stephenson Harwood.

Gordon-Saker was with Dibbs for 36 years. He was head of Dibbs' insolvency practice in London until last year and will head Stephenson Harwood's insolvency team in June. Dibbs' insolvency unit has lost a number of partners to rivals including John Alderton to Hammond Suddards, Peter Manning to Simmons & Simmons, and Mike Stubbs and Nicholas Pike to Lawrence Graham.

Nigel Knowles, Dibbs' managing partner, says the corporate recovery and insolvency group will focus on major accountancy firms, banks and insolvency practitioners.

“This has required some restructuring of teams, particularly in London and Manchester,” he says.
