Inchcape’s UK office has appointed two new members to its executive committee, including Claire Chapman from Reuters, who joins as general counsel and group company secretary.
As first revealed on www. thelawyer.com (16 January), Chapman is replacing Roy Williams, who is retiring after 30 years of service at the international automotive distributor and retailer.
Chapman, who qualified at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, will head the day-to-day legal issues and all company secretariat matters for the group from 1 July.
André Lacroix, Inchcape chief executive, said: “Claire and her team will be an important cornerstone in the international growth programme of expanding our business with core brand partners.”
Inchcape has also hired Vodafone group HR director Tony George.
