Serving a domestic violence injunction on the husband of one of the firm’s secretaries on the Stonebridge estate in Neasden.

Between 7pm and 8pm.
What do you do at weekends?
Golf and GCSE coursework with recalcitrant children.
If you weren’t a lawyer, what would you have been?
I would have run a record or book shop.
Who was your mentor or role model?
Alan Gershon, who took a chance on me, and John Osler and Brian Eagles, who didn’t.
What’s the best thing about your job?
Always learning something new.
What’s the toughest thing about your job?
Switching off on holiday.
What’s your biggest work/career mistake and what did you learn from it?
Sending a gearbox to rural France at short notice but forgetting to tell the garage it was coming. It’s not a career mistake, but it shows you can do a brilliant technical job and still forget the basics.

Jaguar S Type.
