London’s Bircham Dyson Bell has promoted seven lawyers to the partnership.
The new salaried partners are the first new partners since Bircham dispensed with the PQE system of grading solicitors in favour of a performance-based structure known as the ‘career development framework’ (CDF) earlier this month.
Senior partner Ian McCulloch said: “CDF is much more focused on giving a clear career path.”
The firm has promoted two each in the real estate, PPP and commercial departments and one in employment.
The CDF establishes four levels of seniority: solicitor, associate, senior associate and partner. Since its implementation, Bircham has also promoted nine lawyers to senior associate level and 23 to associate.
