Cameron McKenna is expanding its Hong Kong operations with the appointment of three new partners.
Corporate partner Chris Southorn joins the office from Camerons in London, with Dora Chow and Prudence Mitchell of the Hong Kong office also promoted to partner level.
Mitchell, who has worked in insolvency in Australia, the UK and Hong Kong, has extensive experience in large-scale restructuring projects and cross-border banking and finance issues.
Now leading the Hong Kong IP department, Chow joined the firm in 1992 and has 12 years experience of trademark and patents issues in both Hong Kong and China.
Southorn, whose arrival from the UK brings the number of partners in the Hong Kong office to nine, replaces Julian Oakley who has returned to the London capital markets practice.
David Kidd, corporate recovery partner at the Hong Kong office, says: “We are looking forward to having Chris Southorn on board and his presence should take the corporate department to new heights.”
