Kenneth Ross, a partner at Bishops Solicitors, has been named as an Honorary Professor in the School of Law at the University of Glasgow. Ross becomes Scotland’s first practising environmental lawyer to achieve the accolade. He will deliver a series of lectures during the academic year as well as hosting several business seminars. In addition to his regular duties at the 13-partner Scottish firm, Ross is also Convenor of the Scottish Committee of the United Kingdom Environmental Law Association.
FIABCI, the International Real Estate Federation, has elected DLA partner Terry Green as the new president of its UK chapter. Green, a real estate finance specialist and a FIABCI member for eight years, will take up the two-year post officially on 27 September. He succeeds Washington DC-based Julian Josephs, a developer and investment manager with Madison Marquette, as head of the 53-year-old organisation, which is headquartered in Paris. FIABCI is present in 50 countries around the world and represents approximately 1.5 million professionals working in the real estate sector.
