Kousetta’s sweat test

Tulkinghorn knows how media firms work. They are strictly hierarchical. Young lawyers join as luvvies, later to be promoted to senior luvvies, and all the while hoping to make it to darling within five years.

Hakan Kousetta, one of the founding equity darlings of media boutique Aslan Charles Kousetta, knows all too well how that world works.

Since splitting off from Howard Kennedy this summer, Kousetta has been busy pitching – putting him in some unusual situations in the process.

He told one of Tulkinghorn’s scribes that one particularly fabuloso client refuses to meet anywhere other than a sauna in a central London spa.

Presumably the client does so to make sure Kousetta is not distracted by his BlackBerry.
