Germany’s Rödl & Partner has reported record growth on the back of national and international expansion.
Firmwide annual turnover grew 8 per cent in 2005 to E163.5m (£112.7m). Excluding Germany, fee income jumped 16.5 per cent to E55.1m (£38m), while the German offices recorded a revenue increase of 4.1 per cent to E108.4m (£74.7m).
Founder and managing partner Bernd Rödl said: “Rödl & Partner has successfully invested in new markets and expanded its core business. Our net earnings position is good and our business model for one-stop shop professional services has proved successful.”
These new markets include Brazil, where the firm opened an office in São Paulo. Rödl & Partner has also launched a new Hamburg operation and has its eyes on further expansion this year.
“With our new office in Hamburg we’ve closed an important gap in the nationwide services network for Germany. We are currently looking into further commitments in Northrhine-Westphalia and in Southern Germany,” said Rödl.
Expansion into the Middle East has also been mooted, with Rödl & Partner negotiating to acquire a German-Arab consultancy.
Rödl & Partner is a legal tax and auditing firm with 71 offices and a staff of 2,350, including 222 lawyers.
