The procession of football folk traipsing through Mishcons’ offices may have reduced in size recently, but it looks like it will be continuing for some time yet.

So far Lord Stevens of Kirkwhelpington’s seven-month inquiry into alleged corruption in football transfers has uncovered not a single bung. We will have to wait until December, when the final report into the 39 FA Premier League deals that warrant further investigation will be published, to see the final score.

The result for Mishcons is already beyond doubt, however. Thanks partly to the firm’s expertise in handling complex fraud matters and also to the longstanding relationship between partner Kas Nouroozi and Lord Stevens’ investigations company Quest, this is a game that Mishcons has already won – no extra time needed.
