But Paul Usher – aka Barry Grant – has trodden an unusual path, from small-time crim to rozzer on The Bill to IP and IT enforcer at A&L Goodbody (with a name change, for obvious reasons). His career has been nothing if not stellar, which may explain the demand for an appearance by Ba, or John Whelan, as he is now known, in Ireland’s Commercial Court. Gripping stuff.
Cedr link-up targets US ADR work
The Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (Cedr), Europe’s biggest provider of mediation services, has struck an international strategic alliance with its US equivalent, Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services (Jams).
