Following on from Tulkinghorn’s clarion call request for old mobiles, PCs and printers, all in the aid of charity, comes more tech-related charity.
Jersey firm Bedell Cristin is offloading 20 computers and networking equipment to help educate deprived schoolchildren in Romania. The move is part of an initiative being organised by the Jersey branch of the Christian charity Ecce Homo Trust, which aims to help underprivileged children in Romania.
“We’re delighted to be supporting such a worthwhile cause”, said Bedell Cristin managing partner Anthony Robinson. “If our computers will help give children a helping hand, then we’re more than happy to provide them. We hope they’ll open up opportunities for the children and allow them to develop skills and knowledge which would otherwise have been denied to them.”
