Rapid growth in the Spanish legal market continued last year, with both Roca Junyent and Deloitte Abogados posting revenue rises of more than 20 per cent.
Barcelona corporate firm Roca boosted its revenue by 20.3 per cent to reach e32m (£21.6m), up from last year’s figure of e26.6m (£17.96m).
Roca won several choice M&A mandates in 2006. It was lead Spanish counsel to Abertis Infraestructuras on its proposed merger with Italian road company Autostrade in a deal worth e25bn (£16.88bn).
Meanwhile, Deloitte Abogados has posted a turnover increase of 21 per cent. The firm said it intended to maintain momentum by doubling the size of its Barcelona office.
Spain’s larger firms have also been growing, with Cuatrecasas enjoying a 21 per cent revenue boost to reach e198m (£133.66m).
