Steptoe & Johnson Rakisons has lost the head of its corporate department just three months after Rakisons merged with Washington-based firm Steptoe & Johnson.
Simon Vivian joins niche media firm Marriott Harrison’s corporate department today (2 April).
Vivian, who is experienced in corporate, corporate finance and commercial law, has advised on AIM and full stock exchange listings, hostile and recommended public takeovers and acquisitions and disposals of public and private companies.
He joins ex-Rakisons partners Jane Jales and Richard Hinchliffe, who joined Marriotts in November and January respectively.
Vivian says: “I want to go back to working in a small, focused law firm environment.”
Marriotts has recently repositioned itself as a corporate media firm and committed itself to organic growth.
