Lovells has re-elected John Young as the firm’s senior partner after he stood unopposed for the position.

Young, who first took up the role in May 2004, will serve until the end of April 2012 after being voted in at the firm’s annual partnership conference in Barcelona on 9 November.

During his time as senior partner Young has overseen a number of initiatives at the firm, including an overhaul of the partnership lockstep.

The firm is currently in discussions about introducing a lower lockstep to allow partners in economically weaker jurisdictions to enter the equity.
