Linklaters global head of tax Guy Brannan is standing down after two terms in the role, with partner Yash Rupal set to take up the position.

Rupal, a partner at Linklaters since 1996, will lead a firmwide team of 170 lawyers advising on multijurisdictional tax issues, including M&A, corporate finance, restructuring and contentious matters.

Brannan, who held the tax chief post for a decade, will remain at the magic circle firm focusing on expanding his practice and engaging in full-time client work.
