First appointed in September 1998, Pizzey will lead the firm for a further three years. The firm also revealed turnover for the last financial year of £13.3m. Pizzey cited strong performance in the firm’s education and corporate teams.

Average profit per equity partner at the 40-partner firm is expected to be around £200,000.

The firm also recently promoted three lawyers to the partnership. They are property litigator Michelle Bendall, IP and corporate lawyer Doug Locke and school and charity specialist Barney Northover.

Recent partner hires include business tax specialist Richard Pincher to the corporate team from TLT Solicitors, which is also in Bristol.

Pizzey has just finished an MBA in Legal Practice at Nottingham Law School.
