Phillips Fox set to take place in DLA galaxy

Phillips Fox has adopted the DLA moniker as part of its entry into the DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary alliance.

The firm will rebrand as DLA Phillips Fox when it becomes a member of the DLA Piper group later this year, as first revealed on (15 June).

Tony Crawford, Phillips Fox chief executive, said: “The creation of DLA Phillips Fox is our recognition of the rapid integration of Australian and New Zealand business into the world economy and it fits the long-term strategic intent of both firms.”

DLA Piper joint chief executive Nigel Knowles added: “Our alliance is built on a relationship that has developed over the past five years, one that has advanced as a result of our common values, cultures and aspirations.”

As first reported by The Lawyer (4 May), Phillips Fox has formalised its relationship with DLA, following a longstanding referral agreement.

DLA Piper says the alliance will give it greater visibility in the Australasian market and will enhance its ability to support clients’ international needs.
