Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and CMS Cameron McKenna advised on the E650m (£443.3m) sale of all of Austrian bank Raiffeisen International’s shares in JSC Raiffeisenbank Ukraine to Hungarian bank OTP.
JSC Raiffeisenbank has a balance sheet total of more than E1.2bn (£820m), and 39 branches. Freshfields Vienna partner Maria Pflügl advised Raiffeisen on both deals. Kiev-based firm Salkom also advised in the recent deal.
Camerons advised OTP Bank, led by Budapest M&A partner Robert Hayhurst. Kiev-based firm Vasil Kisil & Partners gave local advice.
