Australian firm Corrs Chambers Westgarth is losing one of its most highly-ranked partners to rival Blake Dawson Waldron.
William Koeck is one of Australia's leading M&A lawyers and headed Corrs Chambers' Sydney corporate advisory group.
Over the last two years he has been instructed by a range of high profile clients, including the Sydney Futures Exchange, shipping giant ANL and Woolworths.
Koeck says: “Blakes is an impressive firm in terms of its size, depth and capability.”
His appointment is one of two significant hires for Blakes in the last few weeks. Energy partner Jon Carson joined Blakes' Perth office from Jackson McDonald.
Carson has acted on a range of major projects, including the privatisation of AlintaGas, where he was principal legal adviser to the Western Australian State Government.
