The hills are alive with the sound of music for Harbottle & Lewis after the firm won a competitive pitch to advise 10 upcoming stars in the BBC’s latest hit reality show.

Harbottles was asked to tender for the role of adviser to the 10 finalists in the BBC’s ‘How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?’ which concluded on Saturday (16 September).

Now that the show is over, the firm is continuing to act for winner Connie Fisher and runners-up Helena Blackman and Siobhan Dillon on the opportunities being offered them in a range of industries, including modelling and recording contracts as well as stage performances.

Harbottles’ theatre group head Neil Adleman told The Lawyer: “We’ve been helping them out in terms of taking those opportunities forward.”

Adleman added: “I think one of the reasons the BBC went with us is that we could deliver across the wide range of skill sets.”

Adleman was able to go to the live final on Saturday, which he said was very exciting with a great atmosphere.
