New managing partner for Jones Day

Litigator Stephen Brogan picked for top job

The Washington head of Jones Day has been chosen as successor to managing partner Patrick McCartan.
Stephen Brogan takes on the top job after almost 25 years with the firm. He also served as Deputy Assistant Attorney General of the United States from 1981 to 1983. At Jones Day his practice is focused on complex litigation, corporate investigations and litigation.
In keeping with Jones Day’s unusual governance system, Brogan was appointed by outgoing managing partner McCartan.
McCartan will remain active in the firm as Jones Day's senior partner, concentrating on appellate litigation and corporate governance.
