Alan Magnus is leading a team at DJ Freeman which is advising Partnership Incorporations on the setting up of the Lend Lease Retail Partnership – a limited partnership for institutional investors.
It is believed that this will be the biggest property limited partnership so far in the UK. The partnership is expected to be launched by the end of the month and will have approximately £500m of assets under its management.
Magnus says: “Partnership Incorporations was able to assist Lend Lease to avoid the delays it would have otherwise encountered.”
He says it will enable clients to have “off the shelf limited partnerships without the three to six-month delay incurred under the FSA”.
Magnus was previously head of company and commercial law for the National Coal Board and its pension funds and joined DJ Freeman in 1987.
