Ford & Warren just missed out in 2005-06 on featuring in The Lawyer Rising 50 with its top line at £10.4m. Last year, the firm’s turnover of £10.7m suggests growth may have stalled while the firm undergoes a change in strategic direction.

Managing partner Keith Hearn said the firm would be looking at ways of developing its client relationships as part of its new strategy of focusing on premium, relationship-based work with a particular focus on the transport and insurance sectors.

Hearn added that he expected the employment group to demonstrate the most growth over the next year followed closely by the property division.

Ford & Warren already has a sound footprint in the public sector with a specific focus on the health and education sectors. As such, the firm has managed to secure a number of key NHS Trust clients such as Mid-Yorkshire and Calderdale and Huddersfield.

The firm also recently secured a contract to provide all licensing services to Punch Taverns, one of its key clients, in Scotland.

Remuneration decisions at the firm are made by a management board consisting of Hearn and partners Nick Collins and Peter McWilliams.
