Italian intellectual property (IP) boutique Trevisan & Cuonzo is to launch a new office in Parma specialising in IP issues for the food and food-related sectors.
The move coincides with the recent establishment of the European Food Safety Authority in Parma, a market that the firm hopes to tap into.
Head of the new Parma office Daniela Ampollini said: “Many companies in the food sector have strong products and we want
the producers to turn them into strong brands that they can protect worldwide.”
The office will initially be manned by five lawyers and is expected to open at the end of this month or early next month.
Trevisan is a 35-lawyer boutique headquartered in Milan but with a small presence in Rome. Although the firm handles some corporate and commercial work, its key focus is on IP.
