Charities the Children’s Trust and Kid’s Company will be the official beneficiaries at The Lawyer Awards 2008 after a web poll conducted on TheLawyer.com.
The awards ceremony will be held at the Grosvenor House Hotel on 24 June 2008.
Last year the two beneficiary charities Childhope and Cystic Fibrosis Trust received more than £88,000.
The Children’s Trust provides care, education and therapy to children with multiple disabilities and health needs across the UK. It offers residential care, therapy and rehabilitation for children with brain injuries and short breaks, hospices, palliative care, ventilatory dependent care, education and therapy for children with learning disabilities.
Kid’s Company was founded in 1996 to provide practical and emotional support to ‘lone children’ in London, who experience psychosocial difficulties because their parents are unable to function as caring adults. Much of the organisation’s work is delivered at street level and includes a therapeutic service to children.
The Children’s Trust
Everyone at The Children’s Trust is over the moon to be chosen as one of the charities you will be supporting for the next three years and we would like to thank everyone who voted for us.
I have worked for the charity for over 8 years and it is an incredible charity that makes a life changing difference to so many children with profound disabilities many of whom have an acquired head injury after a car accident or sudden illness.
