Corporate and IT jobs cut at Taylor Wessing

As previously revealed on on 12 September, the firm is blaming the redundancies on the current economic slowdown and said the move has nothing to do with the merger, which went live on 1 September.
The 13 assistants being laid off are from Taylor Wessing's UK corporate and IT departments. They are being axed along with a “related number of secretaries”, according to a statement released by the firm.
It added: “Following a review of all areas of its business, Taylor Wessing has begun a process that is expected to result in a number of redundancies. Although most areas of the firm are unaffected, the firm does expect to lose approximately 13 fee-earners in its corporate department and IT group, with a related number of secretaries.
