Hill Dickinson, led by property partner Paula Hanlon, has acted for property company the Maghull Group on its £21.25m acquisition of the Central Square shopping centre in the north Merseyside suburb of Maghull from LaSalle Investment Management. The acquisition was funded by Barclays Capital, which was advised by Addleshaw Goddard, headed by Manchester corporate partner Helen Corner. LaSalle was advised by Lovells, led by assistant Christopher Somorjay. The shopping centre sits on a seven-acre district centre site and comprises 42 retail shops, 34 apartments and two car parks. Tenants of Central Square include Bonmarché, Ethel Austin, HSBC and Woolworths.
