Reynolds Porter Chamberlain (RPC) has poached a Pinsent Masons partner to boost its regulatory and brokers team.

Insurance restructuring partner Miriam Bartlett has been hired to help RPC cope with an increasing flow of corporate insurance work.

Bartlett’s clients include ING. She advised the financial services organisation on its solvent scheme of arrangement for five insurance and reinsurance subsidiaries based in Holland and Australia. She also specialises in the management of insurance run-off portfolios and exit solutions for solvent and insolvent insurance and reinsurance companies.

Last December RPC hired Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld partner Patrick Devine for the regulatory insurance team.

Meanwhile Pinsents has promoted two associates, Liz Johnson and Alexis Roberts, to partner within the insurance group. That department was also strengthened last November with the hire of partner Matthew Griffith from Ashurst.
