Jersey-headquartered Mourant du Feu & Jeune has bolstered its corporate practice with the hire of John Lewis as an equity partner in Guernsey.
Lewis, who specialises in pensions and insurance, joins from Collas Day following the firm’s split earlier this year.
At the time, litigation partners Mark Ferbrache and Paul Richardson broke away from the rest of the firm to form a rival Guernsey-based firm under the name AFR Advocates (www.thelawyer.com, 5 April).
Darren Bacon, founding partner of Mourant’s Guernsey office, said: “We are delighted to welcome John to our ever-growing practice. This is definitely an exciting time to join Mourant in Guernsey… the island continues to establish itself as a well respected and competitive jurisdiction for funds and finance.”
