If you have seen The Lion King, The Book of Mormon or a Christmas panto you have dealt with ATG. The business is a behemoth in UK live entertainment, presenting about 40 productions a year and owning and running local ­theatres from Brighton to Sunderland, 10 West End ­venues such as the Donmar Warehouse and ­London’s largest theatre, the Apollo Victoria – home to Wicked. Its partner company Sonia Friedman Productions brought Benedict Cumberbatch to the London stage as Hamlet, while its ticketing business makes around 11 million transactions a year.

Moves: Linklaters hires DLA Piper real estate head
