Nabarro Nathanson, the largest law firm in the West End, is moving out of the area.
The firm's well-publicised search for new headquarters has come to an end with the announcement that it has agreed to take a 15-year lease on the majority of 2 Theobald's Court on Theobald's Road WC1.
A spokesman for the firm said that easy access to both the Square Mile and the West End was one of the principal attractions of the building.
Nabarros is to take 115,000 sq ft at the building at a cost of £27 per sq ft, with the option to take another floor, comprising a further 26,000 sq ft. Redevelopment work at the site will start soon.
The firm will now be the tenants of one of its own clients, Land Securities.
Geoffrey Lander, leader of the in-house team conducting the search, said: “Land Securities are a valued client but we still took a professional and commercial approach to the negotiations.”
