Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe has relocated the co-chair of its bankruptcy and debt restructuring practice to its London office.

Tony Princi’s move to London follows the appointment of Adrian Harris in June 2002 to build the firm’s European insolvency and corporate restructuring capability.

Princi said: “[Restructuring] work is truly global; therefore we need to have capability around the globe. My move to practise out of the London office reflects our commitment to continue to expand these resources in response to the needs of our clients.”

Working closely with Harris, Princi will focus Orrick’s international restructuring and corporate recovery practice on cross-border transactions for major UK and US financial institutions and accountancy firms.

Princi acts for debtors and creditors and specialises in acting for bondholder committees in insolvency proceedings and out-of-court restructurings.

The London office has recently acted for one of the largest public debt holders in the financial restructuring of Luxembourg-based international chemicals company Vantico Group.

Orrick now has a six-strong dedicated insolvency and restructuring team in London.
